How do I make sure that the layer I am typing on is visible?

Thanks,

Is your Layers Palette open on the desktop? Once you start to type text you automatically get a new layer that is active. If you can’t see what you’re typing, the new text layer may be behind something else on the image. If so, just click and hold on the text layer and move it up the palette until you can see it.

I replied to your e-mail. Here is a screenshot that clearly shows text that is hidden by another layer. As Beth said you can drag the text layer to the top of the stack and it will become visible. http://www.pbase.com/image/28433619
