Bridge CS4 please show me metadata AND folders simul

In the left pane of bridge, we have several tabs available. None of these for me are ever full to the bottom.
I prefer to have metadata showing AND folders showing.
So I am asking if we can dock these two one above the other. I’m not seeing that it can be done.

just drag the tabs to where you want them as such.

Mine just spring back
Been that way for years (CS3)

when you drag it down be sure only a thing blue highlight line shows between the two windows.
