Reregistration because my computer has changed?

There have been no hardware changes on my computer for over 10 months when I replaced a CD-ROM drive with a DVD/RW. But tonight when I opened Photoshop CS, I received a dialog box stating that my computer had changed and that I must re-register in order to continue using the product. I did so.

Now, I am beginning to ask myself whether a rogue program may have caused that and I sent something to some unknown person.

Any clues or is this a frequent occurrence?

well cs was a little wonky as it was the 1st time they incorporated activation. it’s a little better in cs2. seems a little extreme to ask for activation for that, but stranger things have been known to happen. i wouldn’t worry. (but i might scan for spyware, in a non-worried kinda way! 🙂 )

It was a bit wonky but it wasn’t the first time for activation. That was actually Photoshop 7.0 but it was only in the Australian market.
