saving files to My Pictures

Is there any way to get Elements to default to the folder "My Pictures" (or some other choice), rather than stubbornly going to some obscure folder deep down the tree each time?

I think the program always defaults to the last folder used in the program.

would that it did! Mine does not in any case.
Since posting this, it has occurred to me that perhaps Elements might coordinate with Photoshop Album, which i also have (but not tried).
In any case, trying to put pix into My Pictures is tedious in extreme!
