Whats the best file format to save a photo image after it has had some Photoshop work done on it and so more work can be done on it later?

Either PSD or TIFF usually, but as I don’t recall whether PS7 supported saving layers in TIFFs, PSD is the overall safest option.

Tiff or bitmap. No compression.
