cursor question

Hi all,

I am going nuts! I must have changed a setting with my cursor and now I can’t get it back the way it was. When I would use the eraser tool my cursor would be a circle. If I selected more or less pixels in the tool pallet the circle would get bigger or smaller accordingly.

Now my cursor is a plus sign. This is not good because I can’t tell where the edges are of my eraser brush.

How do I get it back to the circle?

I just know it is going to be something simple.

Many thanks,

OK,

I don’t know what I did but I opened another project and the cursor was back to normal. Then I re opened the project where I had the problem with the cursor and now it is back to normal as well.

Still would like to know what the heck I did.

A couple of possibilities. You might have had the size so large that the circle does not fit on the image. When this happens you get a cross like icon to indicate the center of the tool

Or you might have had Caps Lock on?

If it happens again try resetting the tool.

Yep,

It was the caps lock on. I just did it again and it went to a cross.

Thanks for solving that mystery. This way if it happens again I will know what to do.

Maybe the caps lock is causing the aborted installations?
