If you don’t mind changing all the black things in the graph to the same color, you can use Enhance>Color>Replace Color.

If you want to change just the axes, you need to select them — if they are thick enough, you might be able to use the magic wand set to contiguous and low tolerance. The selection brush might also work. Once you have them selected, you can fill the selection with the color you want (do it on a new layer, just in case).

Another possibility is to create a new layer on top of the old, choose the color you want in the color picker and then use a brush and shift-click to draw straight lines that overlay the axes.

I would like to change all the black elements to color. However, the command Enhance>Color>replace doesn’t have any effect on my graph. What am I missing here?

Jay, try this instead:

1. Make a duplicate layer of your original (Layer>Duplicate Layer>OK)
2. Pick the color you want from the Color Picker in the toolbox.
3. Select the brush tool, hard round 10 pixels (or thereabouts) and set the brush mode to Lighten, opacity 100%.
4. With the duplicate layer selected, paint over the black with your brush. The black should change but the non-black and lighter surroundings should remain unchanged.

Thank you. That worked well. Although when I tried to use a second color, the color on the graph did not correspond to what I had selected. Very strange.
