Using Photoshop Elements 2.0 on a Dell 5150 with Windows XP Home Ed., tried to access Help and got the following message "Cannot find’\file:C.Program%20FilesAdobePhotoshop%20Elements%202Hel pHelpHelp.html’. Make sure the path or Internet address is correct."

Reinstalled the program on the Dell, same result. Installed it on Compaq Presario running Windows 2000, same result. Does it sound like the installation disk is defective? Any suggestions will be welcomed.

What ISP do you use? Several of the more popular ones – AOL, CompuServe, and Yahoo – have customized browsers that aren’t recognized by Elements. If you have one of these, go to your internet setup and make sure the default browser is Internet Explorer 5.0 or above. It’s installed under XP, and changing it won’t effect your internet access at all. If this isn’t the problem, you may be one of those "lucky" XP users who just can’t ever get Help to work properly. If that’s the case, open the Help files through the Elements folder and make a desktop shortcut to keep handy. The workaround isn’t as convenient, but at least it’ll get you to the Help files.
