When I try to check for updates, I get the message "A new version of the Adobe Updater is available for installation. Click okay to install it now". After clicking OK, I get the message "Adobe Updater failed to install." It then proceeds to download updates and I get the same message wrt to the Updater.
Like other Websites, PDFs and the like, inline text that is colored differently and/or changes the cursor from an arrow or insertion point to a hand is a clickable link. Please click it, read the hints in the resulting page and then post back with the requested information.
In case anyone is looking for a helpful answer, I found this in another post and it worked:
– create a new administrator-level user – login as that user (you can use fast switching, don’t need to log yourself out) – run the Adobe Updater from that user
