Adobe photoshop Elements will not open

When I go to open the program it will open to a grey screen and then a error report pops up telling me that a error has occured and it has to close and it gives me the option on weather or not to send a error report or not send a error report. I always hit send the error report but i don’t know how to fix my problem can someone please help?

What OS are you using? When you installed PSE, did you have ALL other programs closed (especially important for antivirus programs)? Are you experiencing other problems with your system?

If on Windows, try this; immediately after launching the program, grab and hold down the shift-alt-ctrl keys until you see a dialog box asking if you want to delete such and such, answer yes and let it load. Should the problem still exist, you could try an uninstall/reinstall.

—edit: looking at the error report, what was the location of the problem?
