How to merge all channels into one?

What’s the easiest way to merge all C, M, Y, and K values of the different channels into one channel K,

So basically I want the same visual result as applying desaturate or converting to grayscale but staying with C,M,Y, and K channels where C,M, and Y are empty and only K has all of the image.

Will appreciate any suggestions.
