How can I set opaque image as the alpha channel of my composition?

1. create a new alpha channel, filling it with white.

2. select all of the opaque image (Ctrl+A)

3. copy (Ctrl+C)

4. paste into the alpha channel (Ctrl+V)

Or:
1. [Ctrl]-click a layer (in the Layers palette) to select its opacity
2. Save the selection (Selection > Save)

Or, Ctrl-click the composite channel in the Channel Palette (with opaque image visible), then click Make New Alpha Channel from Selection button.
