I hope you guys can help me solve this mystery. I recently purchased a brand new pc with Intel Core 2 Duo 2.13GHz CPU, Anyway, I loaded my CS2 suite, everything is running lighting fast EXCEPT Photoshop.
here is the problem I’m having…
when I click on Photoshop icon, the program itself loads pretty fast, but as soon as I click on OPEN command trying to open an file/image it froze for like 4-5 minutes before the dialog box pop-up then I can select a file. Once the file is open, I can work on the file, like normal, and when I try to SAVE the file, it froze again, and another 4-5 minutes wait before the save dialog box pop up. I don’t understand why is this happening.
I already try to uninstall then re-install 3 times, still same thing.
I have no trouble with InDesign CS2 program, it works beautifully and FAST!
Maybe I should add a few notes.
– I’m using dual monitors one is Dell monitor and other is Mac monitor (plugs into DVI port)
question: should I replace the Mac monitor with non-Mac monitor?
– video card I have inside the system: XFX GEFORCE 7300 LE TC 512 MB PCI-E
I can be reach directly at any inputs are greatly appreciated. thanks guys.
happy thoughts,
Jack
