Gradient Banding

In CS2, I created a gradient that should be smooth but there is banding up and down the gradient. I would much appreciate some advice to smooth out my gradient. Thank you

Can you show us the banding? There is not much to work on here.

To avoid banding in gradients:

* Make sure that "Dither" is checked in the options for the Gradient tool. * Add noise.
* Keep the gradient as short as possible.
* Make the start and end colors very different.

And if you’re using a flat panel, it could be your monitor.

what are you saving as? if jpeg, the lower quality you save as the more pronounced banding usually is..
