Are there any versions of Photoshop that will fully utilize Intel’s Quad Core technology? Any help, along with links, would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

It would appear that Photoshop does not utilize the Quad core. Think I would’ve been better off to go with dual core 2 duo cpu’s?

Yes, for now. Duo Core E6600 or higher.

Photoshop does utilize quad cores. But not all processes are threadable. Quad is an advantage in Camera RAW and when using Photomerge for instance.
