I’m using version 4 and want to change the default setting for ‘Save for web’ to 80%.

At the moment it comes up as JPEG, ‘Custom’ and 0% which means I have to drag the slider to 80% every time I want to save.

I’ve looked through the menus but can’t find an option to change it to 80% permanently. Is there one?

TIA.

Hi Frank, I have Photoshop Elements 3 for the Mac and I did a save for web & it was 100% quality so I made it 80. Finisned & loaded another image & the 80% was there as a default. You might consider trashing your preferences file & rebuild it.

I’ll give it a try.
