Healing brush – please help………

Everytime I use the healing brush it looks good until I let go of the tablet pen or the mouse. Then it goes dark or changes color.

I tried to delete the Prefs file but that did nothing.

Please, please, please help if you can as I’m going nuts over this and I need the healing brush to do some repair work.

It depends on where you sample from and also on what your settings in the options bar are.
But it is also how the healing brush works and it might not be the right tool for what you are trying to do. The HB samples the source area’s texture and applies that to the target area.
Read p 127 and further in the visual quick start guide or read your help files.

If you are close to a light or dark area that you are trying to use the healing brush on, it will pick up that color or darkness or lightness. Use the Lasso tool to mark out the area you want to heal and this will not happen. Only the part within the selection will be affected.
