Hi all
I work int IT in a company. Our users all need to use photoshop from time to time but not enough to warrant purchasing a copy for all. At the moment we have around 3 copies on "scanner machines" (no dedicated user is allocated to these machines, you come, do your work and go back to your normac machine) he problem is that there is a queue of people for these machines and we don’t have the space to add more of them.
Query:
I have tested this with a freeware piece of software and it works. If you install it on NTFS partition on every machine and only assign a single group rights to access the .exe of the program. Then you add/ remove users as they need it NEVER exceeding the amount of licences you’ve purchased.
This works but my question is "is it legal?" Like I say, my company have a strict software policy so we will not use the above proceedure if it is not ok with adobe.
Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
