..runs really slow. Same deal w/InDesign and Illustrator. This iMac has 768 mg of RAM. These apps run fine on my 1.25ghz G4. Anybody else notice this?

It’s probably due to the speed of the disc drive. Slow. That’s typical of the little notebooks. More RAM would help, too.

Is the iMac a G3 or a G4? That could be the difference. One thing to check in Photoshop is whether your File Browser is running in the background. I believe it’s in Peferences. That can slow things down.

Is the iMac a G3 or a G4? That could be the difference. One thing to check in Photoshop is whether your File Browser is running in the background. I believe it’s in Peferences. That can slow things down.

It’s a G4. I doubt that the File Brower is running, but I’ll check when I go in to work Monday.
