Hello,

I am a newbie still trying to figure out the whole "Action Recorder" thingie.

I have a bunch of .jpg images that i would like to modify by adding the filename as text to the lower left corner.

How would I go about automating this?

Thanks,

David

David,

You can’t – unless you use the Scripting Plug-In and write a script (which *I* don’t know how to do). Point is, you can’t do it natively with PS actions.

Thanks for the info.

I am trying to install Scripting Support under Windows XP for PS 7.0.1.

I have run the installer, but i can’t get any of the sample scripts to work.

The VBscrpt "hello world" sample (section 3.3.3 in the "PS7 scripting guide") does cause Photoshop to launch, but nothing happens. Eventually, I get a "Windows Scripting Host" error saying that it "can’t create an object".

Also, there does not seem to a "scripting menu" under "File->Automate".

What am I doing wrong? What can I do to get this to work?

Thanks,
David

<stupid look> Uh, I dunno. But what I meant was the Photoshop Scripting-Plug-In. And there’s a support forum for that as well.

<shrug>.
