Hello all,
I’ve recently created online my wedding photo album, with well over 200 pics… anyway, some of these pics were sent to me by others who attended my wedding, some were from my digital camera, and some I took scans of.
Anyway, all of the pics are in .jpg, but some of them are in CMYK, and some in RGB… it didn’t make much difference to my screen, but I was told that a CMYK jpg offers better quality when it comes to printing…
The problem I have is that on my website, I have a thumbnail pic and an enlarged pic of the same file, the enlarged pic is just a link to the file itself on a new window… it’s fine for those pics in RGB jpg, but when it comes to those CMYK jpgs, it doesn’t show up on screen, instead I get the little square with the red cross… however, if I were to right click on the thumbnail and do "Save target as", that seems to work fine…
So what is the difference between CMYK and RGB? More importantly, is there a way for me to fix this besides saving all the pics again in RGB?
Many thanks in advance, much appreciate this.
Regards
Will
