Elements 7.0 – Clone Stamp Tool 16 Bit Color

I am using Elements 7.0 to edit 16 Bit Canon RAW files. When I attempt to use the Clone Stamp Tool, S, Elements 7.0 puts up an error message that it will not do 16 Bit Color. Will Elements 8.0 do 16 Bit Color?

Any work arounds or input will be appreciated.
