Hi,

I’m a complete rookie in Photoshop. My problem is (I think) rather simple: I have 4 scans of historical maps that I want to combine into one map. Can somebody tell me what I should do? The scans are in JPG-format.

Thanks!

Rik

Open a new document in Photoshop. Choose the size such that it gives space to the 4 pics in the way you want. Open the 4 scans in photopshop. use the move tool. Go to Window-Arrange-Tile. Drag each scan on to the newly opened empty photoshop document. They all get their seperate layer. Close the 4 scans.

Click a layer of one of the 4 scans in your new document and place the scan in the right position. repeat this with all the scan until you are happy with their position.

Save your doc in Psd format. Go to Layer-Flatten-Image and save it as e.g. a jpg file.
