Combining several images into a single new file

I have taken several frames from a time-lapse sequence and turned them into individual TIF files with PSE. I would now like to place 3-4 such images alongside one another in sequence and save this combination as a new single file of combined images. Suggestions?

Create a new canvas large enough to accommodate the total width and the tallest of the photos and copy/paste the originals into the new canvas.
