I am having problems with the pixel resolution on my saved pics. Everytime I save a pic, whether it be at 72, 150 or even 300 dpi, I come back later and the dpi is at 72. I recently tried to print a pic (.psd) and it turned out horrible. I am changing the pixel size in image size but it still saves it at 72 dpi. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance

The ppi [not dpi!] setting is unimportant until you actually print. If you have a file of a certain pixel size, changing the ppi has no effect upon the data that’s there. Unless, resampling is activated, in which case PS will create/destroy pixels, as required. Not a good idea unless you know exactly what you’re doing. Is that box checked?
