It’s only a cheap Aiptek Hyper-Pen, but it’s fun to use.

But suddenly the ‘stylus’ option in the Brush Dynamics box for paintbrush tool etc is greyed out. The tablet works fine otherwise. I tried trashing Preferences but it didn’t help.

Any ideas?

Problem solved. I updated the tablet drivers.

Moral of this tale – think first, post later.
