printable grid in PS

I know this comes up from time to time. Is there a way to make a consistent printable grid in PS? Want to compare images with said grid. Do I need to make one up myself and use it as a template?

Yes, as a separate layer.
Do a search on grids here on the Forums, there are a couple plug-ins/actions already made.
