Problem with layers and multiplay…

I use PhotoShop 7.0 on Intel P4 2,4GHz (FSB800), I865P chipset with GigaByte ATI Radeon 9200 VIVO GFx. I also encounter a problem when I duplicate layer and try to use MULTIPLY (from drop down list) on topmost layer (on DUPLICATED LAYER). Some garbage apear in the center of image. When I move FILL or OPACITY slider for that layer, I get more or less garbage!!!
PLS HELP!
P.S. PhotoShop 6 doesn’t have such a problem!

I am having problems moving layer with the move tool. Previously I could click on the layer using the move tool and was able to move layers. Now I must choose the layer then move the layer. Does anyone have information in regards to this problem?

ivan, do you have 7.01 update? i understand there was a problem in 7.00 with multiply that was fixed in 7.01. there should be a FAQ on it.
