My son (16) has started learning Photoshop 7 and he seems to be really interested. I want to buy a tablet for him but I have no experience with such devices. I made a research on Internet and I’ve found that WACOM is the leader. I guess that I should not invest too much and buy too big format because he’s a beginner. I guess I should by A6 or A5 (right?). However, I have to decide between Graphire3 and Intuos2 models. I would very appreciate any advices related to the following questions:

1) Money wise, which investment would be better:
a) change from Graphire3 to Intuos2 when the format is constant
b) change from A6 to A5 when the device type is constant

2) Is the format A6 really usable or is it too small and I should buy a larger one?

3) How useful is the tilt sensitivity feature in Photoshop 7? Is it a good reason for change from Graphire3 to Intuos2?

4) Is it a good idea to go a risky-way with cheaper (much cheaper) device like Aiptek HyperPen 12000U?

Thanks a lot for any tips in advance.
