You may be able to do this using the Script Listener in the Photoshop scripting plug-in. Provided you’re using Photoshop 7. As you
perform actions in Photoshop they are recorded as both Visual Basic or JavaScript. There will be a log file for each language in
the "C:\" folder. I’ve used this technique to record translate and rotate data.
Larry
Thank you for your reply Larry. Unfortunately there were some problem extracting the .exe file. When dubbel-clicking the downloaded file PhotoshopScripting102a.exe I got this error message within a message box called "Self-extracting archive":
"ArsenicDecompressor exception: CRC checksum mismatch; Output data is invalid"
And in the folder "Photoshop Scripting 1.0.2a" there are only three files, all pdf-files in the subfolder "documentation". It seems that the ScriptingSupport.exe file is missing.
I have Photoshop 7.0 and my system is as follows:

SOMEONE EDIT THAT POST TO REMOVE THE SERIAL #!!!
Ole Thomas. NEVER post your serial # in a public forum.
You’ve got a corrupt download. Or something in your temp folder is interfering with the installation. empty the c:\temp folder and try again. if it still doesn’t work, redownload it.
you do know you can use the note tool to record the measurements then save them with the psd right? not automatic, so i’m not sure if that’s what you’re looking for.
It’s missing the last 4 digits, Dave.
Still, not a very smart practice to get into.
I knew that, but like you said…
