Have you checked out the PS Software Developer’s Kit? I suspect most or all of what you need is in it.

Don McCahill – thanks for response, but PhotoshopCS SDK is not available just as that. And I’ve heard that previous versions of .PSD format specifications are available just online. Isn’t that true?
