I have just received my Photoshop CS upgrade package. I am building a new system that will be a Graphic editing system only but it will be sometime to complete.

I would like to use CS now on the computer I am on now, then remove it from this computer and install it on the computer mentioned above. Will there be any problems with activation and/or the License Agreement?

Bill,

You license allows youto install (and activate) on two machines, so installing on your present machine will ‘use up’ one of those activations.

If you are not also installing to a laptop, then there is absolutely no problem. However, if you are installing to a second machine now, when you get your new machine you will have to explain that to Adobe Customer Support in order to get that installation activated.

Even that may not have to be done. The way I understand it, Adobe has left a bit of wiggle room for people who get new computers.

I think it will depend on the timing. If the new machine will be available in less than 30 days, don’t bother activating the software.

Thanks. What I might do now that I think about it is (if this also allowed) put CS on this computer and Photoshop 7 on my new computer (well re-building).

No, you do not have two licenses, so you cannot have two different versions of the software as a way around it. As mentioned above, if the same person would be using either machine a or machine b, then you are probably OK. But if there is ever a time when both machines are in use at the same time by different operators, you would need a second license.
