can a letter be a color

hi all
my firt time here and i have a question that my have well been asked by all for years,i am after the ability to transform a color in to a letter from the alphabet
is there a way or a program that generates a color matrix that well mmmm..
a=the color?
b=the color?
so the actual color says A or C when you look at it???
if any one can add to my question iam not shore if i asked it very well

have not had many results on the web is there a great search engine designed for color please let me know

Read the section in the manual on the swatches palette – you can define a color and name it whatever you like.
