Export path to AI help

Hi,

I have an After Effects plugin that requires an Adobe Illustrator file but I don’t own AI.

So I thought I would use Photoshop, create some text and create a work path, and then export paths the AI. The problem is, the plugin says that there are no valid paths in the .ai file.

What could I be doing wrong?

Dave,

Paths_to_Illustrator does just that – Paths, unstroked and unfilled, ans ‘bounded’ by crop marks. It’s a long tome since I last used AE, but is it possible that AE is looking for stroked paths?
