Hi all i am new to phothoshop. recently i got photoshop CS (8.0) and i got every thing to work. I installed it put in the serial and every thing now when i went in photoshop and I found a found a tutorial on a site on how to make water so i did what it said.

(http://www.n-sane.net/tutorials/advancedwater/index.php) 400×400 pixels and than when i got in it asked me to do

Filter > Render > Clouds
than
3Filter > Render > Difference Clouds. Press Ctrl-F 5 times.

so i did it and i double checked that i did it right but now im still stuck with a white screen and its not like i see in the picture on the web site 🙁

o yea and my friend tried it on photoshop 7 i think it is and it worked perfictly good for him.

can any one please help me i would really appriciate it.

worked for me…

did you start with a transparent background (in file new)?

I note where he says go to Lighing, he means Levels (crtl-L)

You need to be VERY careful.

you need to read the fine manual my friend! 🙂

click the T then click the image where you want the text to go and start typing.

You started with a tutorial that had "advanced" as the first word? You should learn to walk before you run. You’ll enjoy PS a lot more if you do. There are a lot of tutorial sites that will get you going with the basics, like text. Here’s a couple of good places to start, try <http://www.myjanee.com> and <http://www.arraich.com/ps_intro.htm>

And last but not least, read the manual like Dave suggested.
