i think future photoshop should add delete layer to the context menu when right click on the layer, im getting tire of dragging it to the trash can or click on the trash can.

Try making an action and assign a keystroke. Also good for other things like "Fill" and "Crop"… or whatever you happen to use a lot.

Delete layer is in the context menu for the layers palette in Photoshop CS. I don’t remember what version it was added in.

It’s in 6.0, I know.
Also…with layer selected hold ALT key and click the Trash Icon and you won’t be prompted for a "delete confirmation" dialogue.
