Open two of the images (we’ll call them "Image One" and "Image Two") you’d like to fit on one page. Reduce the document window size for each document so you can see both of them in your work area. You don’t need to be able to see the entire document windows for both, just enough to be able to click in the image areas of both.

Next, it may help to go to: "Image—»Image Size…" and make note of the pixel dimensions for each image. You’ll likely need these values for the next step.

With "Image One" frontmost in the workspace, Go to: "Image—»Canvas Size…" Increase the canvas size so it’s big enough to fit "Image Two" in the blank space created. This is where making note of both image’s pixel dimensions comes in to play. Take notice how changing the anchor position on the "tic-tac-toe-like" matrix in the "Canvas Size" dialogue window will determine in which direction the blank area of the canvas expands. With the canvas expanded large enough to fit both images, hit "OK."

With "Image Two" foremost in your work space, select the Move Tool. (V) Click in "Image Two"’s document window and drag the outline to the "Image One"’s document window (the one with the expanded canvas).

Bring that the window with "Image One" frontmost and use the Move Tool to repostion the copy of "Image Two" in this expanded canvas.

Is this enough to go on?

…2 different photos in one page.

By page, you mean WEB page, yes?

If he means what Shecky suggests, he will still have to follow Phosphor’s instructions to get there. You can’t make a slideshow show more than one pix at a time (without hacking the JS code). So the solution is to make two pix into one image.

I guess i am thinking too far ahead. All i want to see are two images when one frame of the slide show comes up, side by side or in one photo as i think phosphor said (or maybe i do not need to do what he suggested.

Mario…

I’ve given the best help I can, given your somewhat vague description of what you’re trying to do. Since you haven’t decribed your intent clearly, nor offered any real indication of your skill-level in Photoshop or with other applications, that’s the best I can do.

Sorry. this is the first time using photoshop. i ogt the software from a friend (i bought his computer), so i do not have the manual. Maybe it is not a photoshop problem. I am trying to have two photos viewed in one frame of a slide show, wherther side by side or two in one photo.
Thanks

If you want to stay legal, your best make sure that your friend isn’t loading Photoshop on his new computer and that he transfers the license to you. There’s a form that can be downloaded from Adobe’s website.

If that’s not the case then you should immediately uninstall Photoshop from your computer.

He has let the country and he does not have a new computer, so i do not think he is going to load the software again as he could not find the original disk when moving.

I think i am on the right track with your help. I got both images opened and minimized the windows a little. i increased the canvas size to accomodate both photos. Then i moved one into the other. i guess i do not know what the anchor position is and how it relates to the photo. But this is the problem i am having. Both photos are on one put i am unable to move them both only the one that i moved to the new one. And i guess i will be unable to make them fit side by side or above and below perfectly?
Thanks

Open the Layers palette. You should see a layer item for each image. Select on. Move it to where you want. Select the other and move it.
