Yes, it really won’t work under 9x.

Consider this: Adobe likes to make money. They want to sell Photoshop to everybody they possibly can. The last thing they want is to tell people they can’t run (and shouldn’t buy) a program. They have a VERY strong incentive to say that a program will run on any machine that someone dedicated could possibly coax it to run on. In fact, when you try to run Photoshop on a machine that just barely meets their stated minimum requirements, you quickly discover that it is no fun to use – and most people living on that edge either go back to an older version of Photoshop, or sigh and quickly get out their credit cards to bring their machine up to a more resonable level.

Trust me: if they say it won’t run on system X, Y or Z, it won’t., And even if you were somehow able to make it boot on that system, you wouldn’t want to.

Hope that helps,

-David

Spend the money and take a chance.

If you are asking this question then you either need to upgrade your hardware and operating system or forget about CS. Why spend more money on software than hardware. Machines are so cheap that can and will run an up to date operating system and current software. I hope you are pulling our legs and not really serious,

It definitely won’t. You may as well just take the cash out of the bank and set light to it.

I know that and you know that but if he can’t be bothered to believe Adobe then he’ll just have to find out for himself, the hard way. —
