Unable to find answer in Adobe Photoshop 7.0 manual, Photoshop Classroom in a Book, on forum search, or from classroom instructor (uses MACs at school). My software is loaded on Acer TravelMate 202T using Windows ME with 384 of RAM. When left clicking on FILE on Photoshop menu bar, and then selecting BROWSER, the browser opens up with it’s menu bar hidden below the Photoshop menu bar thus denying me access to the browser commands and the ability to drag the browser window to a location where the menu bar is visible. How can I overcome this problem?

Murray have you tried hitting the tab key to turn off all of palettes and main menu bar to see if you can then see the top?

Another method, is if you can right click any portion of the file browser menu bar, is to select dock to palette well. then you can drag it back out onto your work area without having to deal with replacing all of your palettes. I also recommend saving the final workspace when you have everything the way you like it. then you can just reload the workspace if it happens again. This used to plague me in PS7. I have yet to see it happen in CS.

Unfortunately, I am working in 7.0 and have just attempted to solve this problem by loading the 7.0.1 fix. Resetting palette locations hasn’t helped either, but your re-docking solution has good possibilities. I will try that next. Thanks!

murry, make sure you’re in 1024×768 mode or better, so you have the palette well. then reset palette locations will cause the browser to jump into the well where you can then grab the tab and move it wherever you want it.

Resetting my display to 1024×768 did give me the added entry for the browser in my palette well thus enabling me to grab the tab and move the browser. Thank you Dave, and my thanks to the others who responded to my posting.
