I loaded Photoshop 6.0 on my Mac OSX, and there is NO menu bar! If I switch to ImageReady, a menu bar appears, but it does not have the "Curves" tool, usually located in the Image menu. Can anyone tell me how to get a visible menu bar with "Curves"? Thank you.

Hi Maria,

First, make sure that you Start Classic before launching Photoshop 6. Wait until Classic has completely finished loading.

Second, make sure that you apply the free update(s). I skipped Photoshop 6, but I think it should be at least at 6.1.

Third, make sure you don’t take the Photoshop icon out of its folder.

Fourth, don’t assign more than 299MB of RAM to Photoshop 6.1.

Ramon, thank you so much. I think I got everything right except your second suggestion about the free update. Where can I get this for Photoshop 6.0?

Much appreciated,
Maria

You will still need to start Classic first.

Okay, I’ll be sure to start Classic first. I’ve been starting it together with Photoshop which may be the problem. Thanks again.

Ramon and Buko, you were both right – my invisible menus returned when I open Classic 9 first! Thank you both so much for responding. I like a simple solution!

Sorry about my typo. I did mean 6.0.1, not 6.1. 🙁
