In Photoshop when I resize a screen shot smaller than it orginall opened at, the image gets very blurry. Any suggestions to prevent thi from happening

Use 1/2 steps when resizing. For example, scale down to 50%, 25%, 12.5% original size, and so on. That’s, from my experience, the best way to keep the detail. Also, do an "Unsharp Mask" on the resized image. For best results switch to LAB mode (you’ll lose some color data, tho) and choose the L channel before you do the Unsharp Mask.

Use ‘nearest neighbor’ instead of ‘bicubic’ for the resampling.

Just to clarify, are you referring to downsampling a screen capture or are you talking about changing the size of the image by zooming in or out?
