Welcome to Photoshop.
You’ll find a very useful feature in this program by hitting the F1 key Once in the Help page click "search" and enter: "Slices" in the blank field. Voila

It’s for making larger graphics into smaller chunks for web pages and game interfaces. If you ever tried to save an image from the web and just got a piece of it, it’s because it was done in slices.

Hi Mike,

I use google for photoshop tutorials to supplement the help file, sometimes the tutorials make things clearer. You’ll get more respect in this group if you have specific questions when you run into problems after you’ve already done some research and made an effort.
