URL link in gif image slice doesn’t work

The link works fine when previewing from within ImageReady to my browser (Safari) but when saved as optomized and reopened it no longer recognises that there is a link for the slice.

You do realize that there are no links in a gif? The link is in the HTML document. If you are just looking at the gif file, you are just looking at a gif file.

How are you "opening" it?

Add the link in Golive or Dreamweaver
