Can anyone tell me where I am going wrong please? When I can in a photograph to PS7, and I then try to make adjustments, I can seem to get in. I can do certain things such as `levels`, but I cannot seem to either erase or paint in colours etc. I am obviously not opening the file properly, (even though I am double clicking on the layer, and making layer copies etc) but I don’t know where I am going wrong!

Many thanks

Mag

Not sure if I’m reading you right, or perhaps I’m the newbee… how does one "can" in a photograph to PS7?
Did you mean "scan"?
I can seem to understand neither (either, also).
Did you mean "can’t"?
I see you have a cannot in there, so you must know what that means. I’m not trying to put you down, but it’s hard to understand what you’re saying.

Perhaps someone you know who speaks English can translate. I think you’re saying that you can’t seem to scan something into your computer, but it at least opens in PS. If so, are you able to save it? If so, I recommend saving it as a .psd file, close it, and open it again and see if your erase and paint options work. My guess is they will. Then you can go on from there.

Or are you simply trying to enter a new word into Webster’s: scannot : the inability to scan.

In all seriousness, good luck. Hope my silly twisted humor didn’t offend you. But I did have to read the message a few times. Please be careful of your wordings and spellings so that we can know what you are asking. Otherwise, you may have some of us doing the Can Can.

Now that the English lesson is out of the way, start over, Mag. 😉

When clicking doesn’t have any effect, it’s usually because you have more than one layer, but your "focus" is on one layer and you are trying to modify another.
Right?

Lighten up, bud,

Mag took my reply in the spirit intended, and replied in a similar fashion. And got some fine helpful
responses along the way. I admire someone who has the ability to laugh at one’s self. I understood every word
mag sent, and the humor behind them. So did big Larry. But you, little larry, should be the one thinking a few
times (and perhaps a few days) before hitting the send button.

Oops, sorry guy’s, the last thing I wanted to do was to start a slanging match. I think this ng is pretty damn good and very helpful. Just for the record my reply was supposed to be funny and tongue-in-cheek, sorry if my sense of humour doesn’t travel that well.

Regards

Mag.
