Photoshop CS and AutoFX plug-ins Over 3 minutes to start

With PS 8.0 when I start Photoshop with Auto FC plug-in installed it takes forever for Photoshop to stop searching for "Plug-ins" I did not have this problem with ver.7, ver.6, etc. Does anyone have a suggestion? FX plug-ins Dreamsuite, AutoEye, Mystical Light, PGE 6.0 and I am runnign Windows 2000, AMC CPU running 1.4 gig, 700+ meg ram?

There are about 10 responses in total, including a response from AutoFX and a suggested work around. Definitely caused by AutoFX who is blaming Adobe, but Adobe clearly says it is AutoFX.
