Hello NG,

I want to use a Batch to shrink all file of a folder to the size of 800×600 so far ok.
In the Batch-Dialog, i choose source: folder and target: folder too.

The Problem is, that, in order to save to jpeg, after every single shrinked Picture, the JPEG-Compression-Dialog appears and wants me to set the compression-strength.
So if I want to shrink 120 picture I have to click [OK] 100 times.

How can I disable the JPEG-Save-Dialog?

Than you

Julian

USE SAVE FOR WEB it will jump to Image Ready, choose options and size for jpg, save then go back to PS and close the file, stop action recording

If for some reason you need to keep the EXIF/IPTC data in the jpegs, then you could use IrfanView (PC only AFAIK) or an earlier version of Photoshop (e.g. 6) for the resizing. "Save for web" removes the EXIF/IPTC data to make the file as small as possible.

Record a "Save As" JPEG step as part of the action and specify the desired level of compression. Otherwise, Photoshop doesn’t know what compression level to use.

In the Batch dialog window, put a check in the box for ‘Override Action "Save As" Commands’.
