Long-time photoshop user. Transfered PS 7 from old laptop to new laptop. Installed, ran updates and it worked fine for a long time. Then strange glitch occurred. When using the hue/saturation adjustment (which I use very frequently), I get an eyedropper instead of the adjustment window. Can’t go back. Program freezes and needs reloaded. Most other adjustment tools seem to be working. Re-installed – same problem. Un-installed and installed my old PS 5.2. Worked fine for awhile, and then same problem. Computer Compaq nx 7000, latest Pentium mobile 1.6, 540 MB RAM, Windows XP Professional. Photoshop worked fine for 3 months, then the glitch. Any advice/ideas?

Sounds like the dialog is simply off-screen. Have you been messing with screen resolution? Maybe using an external monitor on the laptop. There’s an FAQ on this topic.

Do you by any chance know what the FAQ topic line is? I may have changed resolution, but all other screens are coming up. This is the only one missing.

it’s called "Dialog Box is Missing"

Thanks, Dave. That’s what it was. Interesting I had used this program so long and not encountered the situation before. Screen on my new laptop is one of those new wide aspect ones and the dialogue box was off to the side.
