from a VB aplication, I need to write text from a text box to a new tex layer of a *.psd file, as well as utilize a few other commands withi photoshop. I know its doable, but photoshop scripting only works wit
7.0+. what method can i use

There actually is a COM interface to Photoshop 6 and earlier versions. Only problem is, I don’t see where it directly supports text.

Look at the SDK materials provided on the PS6 CD, and find the OLE Automation Plugin Guide document included with those materials. —
