Save for Web Error in PS7-win

When I attempt to save an image by ‘Save for Web’, I get an error message to the effect of: Could not complete this operation because an assertion has failed.

How nice.

Anyone know:
What assertion?
How I can find it? (Already searched KB)
What I can do to correct the problem.

Common cause is some bad value for ‘some’ related setting; Try deleting preferences file. OR ensure all related settings are ‘good’. Try uninstall and re-install.

I just had the same problem and found this. It worked for me. Hope it helps.

Close all Adobe programs and run the regedit (Be careful, any wrong change may damage your windows System).
Just delete "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Save For Web 3.0"
