Brain Cramp …..

I can’t figure out how to merge two files together without copying each individual layer from one and pasting into the next and then renaming the layer

Each file contains about 50 layers.

Is this possible.

I would like to keep the layers and their names intact (and sets). I know I could flatten, but this would not be conducive to building the rest of my exhibit.

thanks
robert

Open the two documents next to each other. Link the layers you want to copy and using the Move tool (the cross, upper right) drag from the image window into the image window of the target file. If you hold down Shift the image will center in the target window. Layers will come in directly above whatever layer you have selected in the target document. Layer names will all be intact.

Note:Don’t have an active selection going (crawling ants) or that will be all that gets dragged.
